2023 RTRA Campaign Goals

2023 RTRA Decade Campaign

Goals Of The Decade Of The Historic Return Home Of African Descendants To Africa - 2023-2032

  1. Inform African Descendants living across the globe about the 2023-2032 decade which will promote their Historic Return Home to their ancestral home and motherland of Africa and galvanise their support in achieving the initiative’s campaign goals.

  1. Engage with the increasing number of African Descendants, who are planning to relocate home to Africa or who have already done so, and assess their experience and on-going needs in order to inform the creation of a holistic African Descendants Return Home Policy for all African States.

  1. Engage with the Royal Families, Chiefdom Heads and Heads of all other Sovereign African Ethnic Groups so they are included in the formation of a holistic African Descendants Return Home Policy and to gain their support in its implementation.

  1. Engage with relevant government ministries in all African States, to assess their current immigration and other related policies, in order to inform the creation of a holistic African Descendants Return Home Policy and to ensure African States are aware of their moral and legal duty to implement legal instruments and policies which can facilitate The Decade Of The Historic Return Home Of African Descendants Back To Africa 2023-2032.

  1. Support African States already able to facilitate The Decade of The Historic Return Home Of African Descendants Back To Africa 2023-2032 under existing legislation and that have policies which encourage the hosting of events and programs that welcome African Descendants to their country while equally encourage other African States to do the same.

  1. Galvanise African Diaspora organisations based on and off the African Continent, who assist in the resettlement of African Descendants returning home, to be part of a working group to formulate and implement the holistic African Descendants Return Home Policy across the continent and support them with setting up an African Descendants Reconnect & Return Hub as part of any African Diaspora Desk in the African State in which they are based.

  1. Lobby influential local and international organisations or bodies (e.g. AU, UN), particularly Pan African organisations across the globe, media outlets, key individuals and businesses to be advocates and endorsers of the holistic African Descendants Return Home Policy.
